Biography

Mr. Johnson Ndubuisi Daniel Erugo is the Founding Principal and Lead Counsel at Erugo’s Attorneys and Consultants, where he spearheads the firm’s litigation, public law, and high-stakes advisory practice. A respected voice in civil rights, governance, and rule-of-law advocacy, Mr. Erugo has built a distinguished legal career defined by deep legal knowledge, tactical brilliance, and unwavering ethical commitment.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons.) and is admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Trained in the tradition of principled advocacy, he has represented individuals, institutions, and corporate clients in complex legal matters spanning constitutional challenges, civil and commercial litigation, criminal defense, and financial disputes.

Mr. Erugo’s expertise extends to criminal law, where he has successfully defended clients in serious felony matters, economic crimes, regulatory infractions, and violations of due process. His methodical approach to criminal defense combines procedural rigor with an acute understanding of prosecutorial conduct and fundamental human rights

In the area of banking and financial law, Mr. Erugo advises clients on credit transactions, regulatory compliance, financial fraud, recovery proceedings, lender-borrower disputes, and the interpretation of banking instruments.
